Q&A with Dr. Duggal
We asked our new doctor a few questions to help us get to know her better.
What is a favourite memory from childhood?
Building sand castles on the beach.
Why did you choose Vancouver over Toronto, where you went to school?
Vancouver offers what I have always wanted – stunning outdoors, opportunities to network and socialize, and mild weather.
Why did you decide upon dentistry as a career?
Dentistry is a constantly evolving hands-on profession that requires precision and attention to detail, besides building long term relationships. These were some of the factors that directed me towards dentistry more than any other profession.
What do you enjoy the most about dentistry?
Dentistry is more than just teeth. It has the ability to transform lives. I am privileged to be a part of this fraternity. Every aspect of dentistry—the creativity and the intricacies involved in planning a perfect smile, the whole process to the final outcome, is fascinating to me.
What do you like about Sullivan Heights Dental?
I like the cohesiveness of our team and commitment to learning in order to provide the best care to our wonderful patients.
How do you make patients feel comfortable while at the dentist?
I like to provide a safe and comfortable space where patients can share their experiences and expectations with me. I take time before starting any procedure and make sure the patient understands the risks and benefits of all the options. I like to have an honest conversation about their current oral health status and provide the treatment options that would best suit their needs.
What is your favourite season in Vancouver and why?
Fall because it represents change! Reminds us to let go of the past and be hopeful for the future.
What is your favourite food to eat, or what do you like to make for others?
I love baking earl grey and pumpkin spice cookies for my family.
